Most notorious well known for founding NYC’s wildly eccentric Mark Fisher Fitness, Mark co-founded Business for Unicorns to help gym owners build a gym and a life they love.
During Mark’s time at the helm, MFF was featured in news publications like The New York Times, The Wall St Journal, Forbes, ABC News, and more. MFF was listed on the Inc 500 list of the fastest growing companies in America, Men’s Health named MFF one of the top gyms in America, and Mark and his co-founder Michael Keeler gave a TEDx Talk on culture.
After grossing nearly $34m over 13 years, Mark and Michael sold MFF so they could devote their attention to Business for Unicorns. In his capacity as BFU’s Chief Dancing Monkey, Mark gives keynotes, talks, and workshops all over the world. He spends his days endlessly hoovering up the most cutting edge info from the world’s best gym owners so he can share best practices with clients and BFU’s 20k+ strong audience of fitness business nerds.
Outside of BFU, Mark spends a few hours per week as owner and operator of a small group personal training gym, where he is a proud franchisee of Alloy Personal Training. He also hangs out with his Broadway actress wife and their adorable 3-year-old, enjoys martinis, coffee, and Burning Man, and apparently, writes about himself in third person.
